Subject: [KnoxCoTN] Re: James Renfro and Sallie Yost

Hi List Members,

Looking for the parents of James Renfro, born 1800 in Montgomery Co., VA.

James and Sarah Yost were married in Knox Co., Tn. in 1823. Because there

was another James and Sallie Renfro in Knox Co. at the same time, there has

been confusion in sorting these families out. My James and Sarah moved to

Polk Co., Missouri about 1838. Their chilren were,,,,,Mary, Peter,

Elizabeth, Sarah J., Andrew F., James, Harriet A., Susan M., William

H., Hester A.. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

I am looking for any information on Gardner Tucker, b.

abt.1795-99 in NY state and Mary Frances Hensley

Tucker, b. abt. 1799 in VA. They were married about

1820 in Sullivan Co. TN and moved to Knox Co. about

1821 where their oldest son, John D. Tucker (my

gggrandfather)was born July 1821. They later moved to

Blount Co. TN and both died in the Maryville area.

Looking for descendants of this couple and I have lots

of information of which I am willing to share. Any

info on them would be much appreciated.

Thanks for any help.

Subject: [KnoxCoTN] Update on Rose-Anne and tornado activity

I heard from Rose-Anne. The tornado that was aiming at her touched down

somewhere else in the county. They were still under watches until she went

to work.

The wind is horrible here in East Tennessee -- if this is what went through

Mississippi earlier today, I can see why she was worried.

Thanks for all the prayers in her behalf and on behalf of the other

Mississippians who were in the weather's path.

Hi,

You probably already have this but I had just noticed some Monday's on

the 1850 Knox Co. TN Census pages that I had copied for another surname.

pg 135 dwelling # 1559 John Wood farmer $800 33 TN

Orpreth 23 TN

Eveline 2 TN

Augustus Mc 6 mo TN

William Monday, laborer 25 TN

pg 136 dwelling # 1573 John Monday farmer $400 63 VA

Nancy 68 VA

Elvis (male) (idiot) 30 TN

Aaron Phillips farmer 17 TN

I believe I have seen others, some spelled Munday, but I was not

researching this name so I did not copy them.

Good luck,

Carol
