Someone just asked me about Lucy Byerley and her relationship to our family. She was sister of my ggrandmother Margaret Byerley b 1811, dau. of Mary Moore b ca 1767. Lucy in 1826 married Wm. Watkins b 1805 TN's (my gggrandf. who m Margaret Byerley) brother Samuel about a year prior to the marriage of my line and moved w/them all to Chattanooga area (Ooltewah) during 1840's. Bondsman for Samuel and Lucy Watkins was a John Neely in 1826 Knox CO, TN. Officiating at wedding John A. Swan, JP. I don't quite know how this fits: Book BB pg 243 Warren C and Lucy W Richmond of Robertson Co, TN to Archibald D Richmond of Caswell or to John C Richards to sell land adj to John C Richards, Hamilton et al, it being sixth part of land of William Moore decd and bequeathed to his daughter Lucy W, including the tanyard owned by D William Moore 15 Feb 1833 Now we look at John Neelys' file....he bought part of Jarnagin estate in Jefferson CO, TN.
