The library's letter says, "The goal of this effort is to create a comprehensive bibliography of information about the region and to purchase all documents, printed and otherwise, related to the Great Smoky Mountains. This project would give the University of Tennessee the opportunity to become the nation's center for Great Smoky Mountains research. ... Your assistance can make it possible." If you are interested in donating money, documents, or artifacts to this project, please contact UT Special Collections Library by mail (1015 Volunteer Blvd., Knoxville, TN 37996-1000); phone (865-974-4127), or via its website (http://www.lib.utk.edu). ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 01 May 2000 18:00:54 -0700 From: "Billie R. Now they've added 2.5 million "non-famous" people -- mostly burials at national cemeteries. It's worth a look. www.findagrave.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 02 May 2000 10:04:35 -0700 From: "Billie R. He uses MSN. MSN has an issue (as do some other ISP's) where it adds the word "email" (on other servers it's something else) to an address. So, you subscribe as yourname@msn.com -- and you try to unsubscribe yourname@msn.com. The problem is that MSN, when it forwards your messages out, sends them as yourname@email.msn.com -- so, that's what the mail server sees. Some HUGE mail servers know about these issues and resolve them automatically. However, our list is serviced by a small genealogy server, and we're all volunteers....no one has yet had time to address this issue in the programming, because there are literally hundreds of variations. Hope this will alleviate some of the frustration you may be experiencing. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 05 May 2000 09:09:44 -0700 From: "Billie R.
