---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sun, 25 Mar 2001 13:44:11 -0500 From: "Billie R. McNamara" <knox@tngenweb.org> Subject: [KnoxCoTN] Origin and frequency of the name "Didama" My sister is transcribing some 1880 census records from Tuckahoe (Knox/Sevier/Jefferson border area). She asked me about Didama, and I told her I've seen it often as a woman's given name in this area. But, I don't know what its origin is or how frequently it really was used. Does anybody have any info on it? ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 27 Mar 2001 08:37:31 EST From: KAT3946429@aol.com Subject: [KnoxCoTN] BEETS - --part1_66.d5349db.27f1f19b_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I am so embarrassed that I need to write and ask the person who I promised some BEET information to please contact me as I've lost the email with the address. McNamara" <knox@tngenweb.org> Subject: [KnoxCoTN] Genealogy survey for Master's Thesis Please help spread the word about this -- I confirmed with Ms. Drake through private e-mail that this is a legitimate activity: The Fullerton Genealogy Study California State University, Fullerton Nearly 60% of U.S. residents participate in some genealogical activities with worldwide figures not readily available. Yet there is sparse information about the millions of people involved in this rewarding hobby and what needs are met by the pursuit of one's ancestors. A thesis project designed to address these questions is being conducted at California State University Fullerton. Interested genealogists and family historians are being asked to fill out a 20 minute survey online. All information will be anonymously collected and no identifying information about individual answers will be divulged. See the survey at: http://psych.fullerton.edu/genealogy This research project is being conducted by Pamela J. Drake, a Master of Arts student in Psychology at California State University, Fullerton and is supervised by William D. Marelich, Ph.D. Questions or comments about the study may be directed to the researchers at: email: genealogy_study@hotmail.com telephone: (714) 278-7052 ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 27 Mar 2001 15:19:33 -0500 From: "Billie R.
