I will be traveling from Hawaii to Knoxville next week to do a few days of family research. Does anyone out there know where I might be able to take a look at a 1937 edition of the Central High School, Fountain City yearbook while I'm in town? My father attended CHS from 1932-1937 and I'm interested in finding out if he was on any sports teams, in any clubs and would like to see his graduation picture if there is one. I'd appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction. Aloha, Michelle

Traffic around downtown is a snot, but the trees and flowers are beautiful. I will contact one of my cousins and see if he has a 1937 annual -- he graduated in 1941. But, hey, our Dr. Jim Tumblin might be able to put us on the trail of more...he periodically has lunch with the '41 grad I'm thinking of <g>. Make sure you spend a lot of time at the McClung Collection...
