Hello,

My name is Ann Perry Hodges. I joined this list several months ago. I

haven't done a roll call since elementary school. I have two grown children

and still work full time. I married a Hodges 30 years ago and still have the

same Hodges gentleman I stared with. I was born a Perry & that's the name I

began my search with in Knox Co., TN. Along with Oglelsby, Pratt, Wilson,

and McLemore, Osborne. You have to research these too as they lived as

neighbors, worked together and married each other. I would love to be camped

out in the Knox Co. archives for a few weeks. Though I was born in Texas, my

father and his family were born in Knox Co., TN. They go back several

generations. Dad joined the Air Force at an early age and was stationed in

Texas, where he met my mother. Remaining in the service for 10 years, we

were stationed at several different bases, but always made the trek to TN

every summer as soon as school was out, driving all the way from Florida to

TN, then to Texas and back to Florida and sometimes the other way around. I

do family research in my spare time. The journey of discovery is

exhilerating. Any others searching these same surnames, I would be happy to

hear from. Thank you,

d.Sept. 9,1917. He is buried at Cadet near Big Stone VA. Alexander and =

Elizabeth moved to Wise Co. VA. some time near the turn of the century. =

census records. According to Robert=92s death certificate, Alexander was =

born in Lee Co. VA, but I have been unable to find him on any of the =

Wise Co. VA. Children from this marriage were Essie, Clarence, Georgia, =

Charles Litton Wilson b. Jan. 26, 1914, d. Feb. 6, 1971, married to =

Jannie Louise Fugate Hughes.
