Seeking to identify the parents of my grandfather, Nathaniel Bennett White, who
died in Knoxville, TN on June 1, 1941. At one time he had been secretary of the
YMCA in Knoxville. He was born on Sept. 11, 1862 in Jay (Essex County) New York.
His son, my father, was Wallace LeRoy White, who was born in Norwich, N.Y. on
May 18, 1892. I (Nicholas Lynn White) was born June 28, 1934 in Knoxville.

Looking for information on the Strader and Grant familys in Tenn. I have a David
Grant married to a Margaret Strader. I do not know the year of there birth or
marriage,but I do know that their son John Grant,was born in Knoxville,Tenn. and
that was 1830. They had 10 children and moved to Ohio. While emigrating to Ohio
by ox team,David and David Jr. took sick and died and were buried in Paducah,Ky.
Magaret waited until the boys were older to finish the trip. They relocated to
Darke Co.,Ohio. I have more information about the Grant-Strader family if anyone
is interested. so far this is my dead end on the Grants and Sraders,any

Thomas Fulton married Mary (Polly) Wills in Knox Co., around 1820. I think his
father was Hugh Fulton. He had a son named Thomas J. that moved to Texas with
the rest of the family . This Thomas J. Fulton is my g-g-grandfather. He lived

I would to receive any info. available on my great-grandfather, Lilliston Adams
Pardue. He was born in N.C. in 1818 and moved to Monroe County, Tn. with his
first wife, Harriet Welsh. They had a very large family before Harriet died and
he then married my great-grandmother Plinah Johnson. They also had a number of
children of whom was my grandmother Joanna Pardue. She had a twin sister Etta
and I also heard mentioned a brother named Fred. I think Plinah died in Atlanta,
Ga. in 1914 but don't know when Lilliston died. I really would like to find
info. on Plinah. I don't know her place of birth, parents or exact date of birth
but heard that she was born in Ga. and may have been married once before
marrying Lilliston. They apparently took in an Indian child or perhaps more.

I am looking for information on my maternal grandfather William L. Willis.
William L. Willis was reportedly the father of Clarence R. Willis (4/1900) and
Carl Raeburn Willis (6/14/04, my father, aka Carlos) with Mattie C. Liford of
Lone Mountain, Claiborne County. Mattie Liford later married Paris Acuff in
1917. She died in 1950 in Knoxville. Paris Acuff died in Knoxville in 1962. My
father died in Ormond Beach, FL in 1989. Any information available on Clarence

Caroline (married a Fergason), Rebecca (married a Witt) ROGERS. According to a
letter written by niece,(Adaline STANDIFER SHERROD) these were the brothers and
sisters of her mother Nancy ROGERS who was born in Knoxville. Adaline said in

Calvin Darius McCamy. His father was Samuel Jackson McCamy. Somewhere along the
line, the name changed from McCamy to McKemy or McKenny. These people were grom
Greene Co., TN. Samuel Jackson was married to Lydia Rhinehart and they had
several children. In addition to Calvin Darius, there were Jacob Franklin, Mary
E., William A., Leonides, Jackson P. John H. M. I can find no record of what
happened to any of them other than Calvin Darius. I do know that Samuel Jackson
McCamy is buried at Bewley's Chapel Methodist Church near Warrensburg, TN. If

I am looking for any information on Ezekiel Sullivan. He was probably born in NC
around 1770. He served in the War of 1812 for three months --September 1813 to
January 1814 in Captain Daniel Price's Company of the First Regiment of the East
Tennessee Volunteers under the command of Colonel Samuel Wear. The first
reference to him was in Knox County where he signed a petition that a new
election precinct be established. He was married to Elizabeth UNKNOWN and they
had at least one child, Jonathan B Sullivan, b TN or NC, in 1799.
