I am searching for information on NATHAN ROBERTS born 1774 in Virginia. Married ABIGAIL BISHOP November 10, 1799 in Knox Co., TN. He died abt 1845 in Choctaw, MS. Nathan's parents were Cornelius Roberts and Mary Benton. I believe Abigail's father was Joseph Bishop. Nathan and Abigail's children wer, Jeremiah, Polly, Elisabeth, Sallie, Cornelius, Nathan, Abigail, Rachel, Mathew, Hannah, John, Jalie, William, David and Joseph most were born in TN some in Alabama, MS. They moved to the Cincinnati area of Ohio Hamilton Co. where they had a child and gave it for adoption Zeda Dianne Vaught. The birth certificate states there were two other children the mother had. Also I am working on Mullineax, Randolph, Pittman, Smith, Moss and Morgan. Searching for descendents of or proof of the Eastern Shore connection of the ancestors of Dr. J.M. MARSHALL (born 1821). In an 1885 letter to William M. Paxton (author of "The Marshall Family", an attempt to delineate Chief Justice John Marshall's genealogy), Dr. MARSHALL then of Knoxville, TN, claimed that his great grandfather came from England and settled on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Although Dr. J.M. MARSHALL's grandfather has been identified as ISAAC MARSHALL (1761-1839) of Iredell Co., NC, the Eastern Shore connection remains elusive. Any details concerning Dr. MARSHALL or that of his descendents would be much appreciated.

I am searching for any information regarding the Kitchens family. James Matlock KITCHENS was born August 7, 1796. He had at least two brothers: George and John. He had an uncle named James ACUFF. The four men travelled from Tennessee to Alabama. James Matlock married Sally BROWN in 1813. Sally was born September 16, 1796. Sally had at least one brother, Thomas, and sister, Francis. No information is known of neither Sally nor James Matlock's parents. It is supposed that his mother's maiden name was ACUFF.

Seeking parents and information on Margaret G. Wills Dick(son) Cook. Margaret was born c1793 in TN. She married 1) John Dick(son) in Knox Co. 1820 and 2)Henry Cook in 1827, recorded in 1833 in Greene Co. TN. Did she have sisters Polly and Catherine in Knox Co? Margaret and Henry Cook moved to Cherokee Co. NC by 1850 where they lived until their death. Margaret had at least one son, Peter, by Mr. Dick(son), and then she had (possibly) Iredell and Logan Cook, and definitely Anderson, Nancy Jane and John Cook with Henry. Thanks!

LOW(E) - Seeking info on family of Aquilla Low(e). There is a marriage entry for Aquilla Low to Nancy Lewis 20 Feb. 1817 in Knox County that I believe to be either him or his son, also named Aquilla. Family History has it the the elder Aquilla fought in the Revolutionary War and the younger in War of 1812 at Battle of New Orleans.
