Re: Abraham and Jesse Low(e)
Anne Pyle
-- Tuesday, 7 November 2000, at 8:52 a.m.
Abraham Lowe was reportedly buried in the Pleasant Forest Cemetery located near Farragut. I was unable to find a marker for him there. His daughter Rebecca Lowe married James W.Craig Jr and she died in 1837. I was unable to find her marker either. James W. Craig Sr and Jr and several other members of the family are buried there. Some of the Craig's are buried in the old Ebeneezer Presbyterian cemetery and it is possible that Abraham is buried there.
As to a son James or Jesse, Abraham's will does not mention one.
The will was dated Feb 6, 1830 and proved in the April Court. He probably died between that date and April when it was proved.
to my son Nelson Loe; my son Samuel D Warren Loe when he becomes 21 years of age or sooner if it may suit his mother; Nelson Loe and Samuel D. Warren Loe to divide my blacksmith tools equally; my beloved wife Mary Loe; my two grandchildren, Nancy Jane Martin and Russle Martin, instead of their father, to be paid after death of wife Mary; My granddaughter Mary Mahaly Bell, instead of her father, after the death of my wife, Mary; my sons and daughter, (viz) Stephen Loe, Martin Loe, Knox Ma haly Rodgers, David Loe, Mary, Isaac Lawson Loe, Robecker Craig, and Samuel D. Warren Loe. Signed Abraham (x) Loe

That isn't to say he didn't have a son James or Jesse. It sometimes happened that they had already recieved their share or they were disowned for whatever reason.

WM B. EVANS, DELANEY EVANS LOONEY
John
Evans -- Thursday, 9 November 2000, at 12:45 p.m.
Looking for information on William B. Evans, born in TN in 1792, location unknown. William was married to Martha (Burton?). Census information indicates that Martha was born in Virginia in 1804. William's daughter Delaney Evans gave birth to a son William Benjamin Evans Looney in Knoxville on 6 Oct 1835. Delaney Evans died shortly after that and her son was cared for by her father. William and Martha moved to Audrain county, Missouri in 1835 with their children and grandchild.
I am most interested in obtaining independent verification of Wm Benjamin Evans Looney's birth, and in finding the birth location and parents of William B. Evans. I also need to know the family name, parentage and place of birth of Wm's wife Martha. I am surmising that since his grandson appears to have been born in Knoxville, that Wm B. Evans and his wife Martha must have lived in the Knox county area.

Searching for the family of James Black Of Knoxville. He is one of the sons of Alexander Black and Sarah Young. He was born in 1885? Possibly could have been partially blind. He is buried in the Greenwood cemetery at Knoxville. He is on some of the cemetery records of family members, as being the one to order the graves open. I am told there was a family fight of some sort. Please if you know of this family, let me know. The fight was not with this generation. We would like to have a complete family tree.

Since there were several males listed in your family, one may have married a woman named Amanda. These people were from Knoxville area. Amanda would be born about 1900-1910 or there about. Searching for Joe Smith: Born around 1855 in Knox County (so says the birth certificate of his only child by his second wife, Benjamin Franklin Smith, born January 12, 1886 in Gallatin County, ILL). First wife was Minerva Love. Second wife and mother of Benjamin Franklin was Bell(e?) Vaughn, who was 18 at the time of birth, so she was born around 1868 in Crittendon County, KY. Family rumor has it she died soon after Ben was born.

-- Tuesday, 14 November 2000, at 3:57 p.m.
If anyone is researching the BROCK or MABRY/MAYERRY/MABERRY families of Knox/Anderson Co., TN. and has a connection to Eliza (BROCK) who married John MABRY in Knox/Anderson Co., TN. in 1793, I would greatly appreciate hearing of it. I do not know who the parents of Eliza (Brock) were and would greatly appreciate any information to help determine that.
Eliza's name may have been Sarah Elizabeth "Eliza" (BROCK).
John MABRY & Eliza (BROCK) might have been the parents of Solomon MAYBERRY born 1800 TN.
John & Eliza may also have been the parents of Sarah "Sallie" (Mayberry) who married Matthew PATTERSON.
The relationship between John & Eliza (BROCK) MABRY and Solomon & Sarah "Sallie" (MAYBERRY), has not been documented by me, but circumstantial evidence points to the possibility that they were related.
John & Eliza were in Clinton Co., IL. by 1830.
Thank you for any information.

Bill, hi. My name is Keitha Jenkins Kirk and I am trying to find my ggggrandfather's parents. I found two marriages in Knox Co. that I am going to start with, one being Aaron Jenkins and Catharine Davis, married Dec 11, 1798.
My gggrandfather was William J Jenkins b. Feb 10, 1812, TN; d. Mar 15, 1877 in Jacksonville, Calhoun Co., AL. He married Elizabeth ? (I believe Barclay, but haven't been able to prove). She was born June 20, 1826 in GA; d. Aug 6, 1900 in Jacksonville, Calhoun Co., AL. They have 14 children.
William and Elizabeth were in Coweta Co., GA by 1850 and in Calhoun Co., AL by 1860. If this is Elizabeth Barclay, they were married in Jasper Co., GA in 1839.
Is William a child of this Aaron and Catharine?
Thanks for you time in checking this out.
By the way, I sent a message to the E-mail listed and it was returned.
