Need info on Myra Clark of Knoxville,Tn. She married Hiddekel Clark around 1929. Would like birthdate,deathdate, correct marriage date, and possibily parents names.(correct death date would really be appreciated). Myra was probably a nickname and she is also a second wife. Heddy's first wife was Mary Ann Carter of Roane Co. he and his first wife were buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Knoxville. Any info at all on this family would be appreciated. will share info I already have.

I am looking for information on JAMES MCNAIR, an early settler of Knox County, who settled the area c1780. He was born on Augusta County, Virginia c1745-1747. James McNair was married to a woman named Martha, maiden name unknown. James McNair served in the Revolutionary War in the North Carolina Militia and may have received land grants for that service. He owned several tracts of land, selling land to a man named ROSS in 1799. I seek information on his land ownings in Knox area. In addition, James McNair was a Mason, and I am seeking information on early Masonic orgainzations in the Knox County area. I work in Washington, D.C. and am willing to trade Knox County information for research help at the National Archives and Daughters of the American Revolution. Thanks, Chris Allen

Am trying to get data on Myra Clark of Knoxville,Tn. She married Heddikel Clark about 1929. Need her maiden name, parents names, her birth and death date. ROGERS, Green Berry (colorful name!) Estimated year of birth 1804. Was a master blacksmith, lived in Blountville, had nine children. Belive had a brother, Jacob. My great-grandfather was one of his sons, Dr. Elbert S. ROGERS. Any leads would be appreciated, working to qualify for a First Family of Tennessee Certificate. My father, Charles J. was born in Blountville, also. Green ROGERS was married to Elizabeth DELANEY.

I am researching Gallahers who settled in Washington County ca 1783. I have located a really good source, THE GALLAHER CLAN, but would like to contact some of the East Tennessee families and families who settled outside of TN. The book has a lot and a lot of great leads (its available from Family Tree Press, P.O. Box 602, Lawrenceburg, TN 38464), but I'm interested in a couple of Knox County lines (one lived around where Gallaher View Road is in West Knoxville). Any help appreciated!

Robert Snow married to Pauline Clark Coombs, daugther of Hannibal Harrison Coombs of Clark County, Indiana. Crane family can only be traced to Cocke County, Tn., via Knox County. Looking for ancestors or descendents of Obadiah Hall and Sarah Bayles. They were married in Knoxville 4/30/1818. They had 10 children: Sarah, Samuel James (my gr. gr. gr. grandfather), Griffin, Obadiah, Elizabeth, Nancy, Rufus, William & Thomas. Nancy married Brice Wallace in Anderson Co Tn 12/4/1848. I am looking for info on my great-grandmother and her mothers family. We believe they came from the area around Jacksboro, Tn. My great- grandmother was Hattie Mcguire, she was born Dec. 16, 1888 in either Tenn. or Ky.(not real sure). Her mothers name was Emma and Hattie claimed that her aunt was a Nan Cody, who was supposedly kin to "Buffalo Bill" Cody. If anyone has any info, please E-mail me. Thank you!
