Dear Sir or Madam:
I am in the process of doing some research work on a small settlement in
northeastern Knox County by the name of Tuckahoe Tennessee. It is located around
the Kodak area. At one time probably in the late twenties there was a grist mill
there and little else. I would appreciate it very much if you could sent me any
information you have on this early settlement.

I have traced back my ancestors to records that they arrived in Indiana
in the late 1830's from Knoxville. They are Susan Cobb and Ralph (Samuel Euriah)
Lane--he is listed as Ralph in the 1840 census but family records know him as
Samuel Euriah. There is confusion at this point as to whether this is one man or
two men, possibly brothers. Probably six children were born in Knoxville. My
great grandfather told me Susan Cobb was a Cherokee. Any help you can give me is
greatly appreciated. Please feel free to forward this to anyone else who might
to help me. Thank you very much.
