I am looking for information about ancestry of Fred P. SMITH born in Anderson/Campbell County in 1909. His siblings are ANNIE MAE SMITH, b. 1907, DAVID SMITH, TOM JASPER SMITH, DEWEY SMITH, ROSA ETTA SMITH CARROLL, b. 1895, and FRANK PRESSLEY SMITH. His mother was ELIZABETH/LIZZIE ALTUM SMITH. I am looking for information on John Rose who I believe died in 1905 at the old 'poor house' on Maloneyville Rd. in 1905. In Knoxville. He lived in area around Johnson Bible College previous to that. Any information on one of his daughters named Margaret would be appreciated. Basically I cant seem to locate any grave records, or any other sort of records for the facility.

Also looking for records on his eldest son John McNair, aka "Colonel Jack McNair," born 1784 in Tennessee and died in 1850 or 1851 in Union County, Illinois. "Colonel Jack" McNair served in Tennessee units in the War of 1812 and the Creek Indian War. I would like to contact some relatives of Miss Hattie Love who was a prominent Knoxvillian until her death in 1951. She was the first woman to serve on the Knoxville City Council. She was also the author of a family history of the William Lewis Taylor family. Although she compiled the family record none of her family or descendants of this family are listed in the record. I am currently updating this record and would like to hear from some member of the family. She was a partner in the Galo Ice Cream Co. which she co-owned with her brother H.C.(Pat)Love. I would appreciate any information on this family.
