Palmer -- Saturday, 2 September 2000, at 6:31 p.m.
There is a deed in Louisa County, VA., Deed Book "A" dated 13 Oct. 1746 that gives the name of the wife of Richard Palmer as Grissel. Family tradition has it that Grissel was a Henderson. I've not found any evidence to support this tradition. Does anyone know if Grissel, the wife of Richard Palmer, was a Henderson? I'm posting my query here because I was told that I might find information on Palmer/Henderson connection in Virginia on this board. Many thanks for any help.

For an extensive and detailed study of cultural conditions in Monroe, Blount, Loudon (and surrounding area), I am focusing on the HOWARD/McGHEE/JONES feud, part of which took place in KNOX county and would appreciate input from descendants of the contemporaries of the feud events. KNOX county papers continued to carry this story for decades after the final episode. This research will delve beyond previous accounts. Any of your ancestors' memories of how these events were perceived then, as well as how they are regarded today are appreciated. Reply privately to jbtroy1@aol.com Joan Troy jbtroy1@aol.com

Please note that all this information has not been verified by me as of yet, A lot of it has been sent to me by other researchers. I have deleted the names of anyone I know to still be living to protect their privacy. I have also added some Notes so that the information I have verfied is noted.
I have a webpage set up with pictures of some of this Franklin line, there are many pictures still unidentifed, so please take a look and leave me a message and let me know if you know who any of them are.

Looking for info on James Hankins born 1792 in Knox Co.,TN. I have his wife as Margaret Unknown/McPherson or Polly Breaden. A county history states the McPherson and LDS states Polly Breaden. Is Polly a pet-name for Margaret? This marriage would have been in Granger, TN-1822. Could he have married twice? I am descended from James and Margarets son, Wiley Carroll Hankins who was born in Scott Co., IL.

Hi, am searching for gg grandfather that supposedly was born in Knox County TN circa 1818 and later migrated to Texas. I am searching for his family who would have been here in late 1700's and early 1800's. If anyone else is acquainted with this ancestor please advise.
