I am searching for more information on Pleasant HENDERSON b abt 1798 VA & d
1870/80 Campbell Co, TN. He was m to Jane WALDEN b abt 1800 & d 1870/80
Campbell Co, TN. Pleasant was listed on the Roane Co, TN Tax List of 1816, 1817,
1818 & 1819. If I read the tax list correctly, he owned 750 acres of land on
Caney Creek in Roane Co, but I haven't located the deed for him in the co.
Pleasant doesn't appear after 1819. I believe Pleasant, Jerry {Jeremiah}, &
William listed in 1830 Anderson Co, TN & Jesse Henderson 1830 Knox Co, TN
were brothers. Listed in the 1840 Anderson Co, TN Census Records: Mary, 2
Michaels, 1 of them I believe was suppose to be Pleasant, Jesse & William.
Jeremiah was listed in Knox Co. By 1850, Pleasant Henderson & family had
removed to Campbell Co, TN. Jesse and William served in the War of 1812. Any
help would be appreciated.

on John C. COX b. 10/5/1854 married Elizabeth MAJOR(S) b. 7/24/1851 d. 5/22/1916

Their children were Laura, George, John "Jack", Harriet, Martha, and
Charles. One of our COX ancestors came to Knox Co. when he was given a NC land
grant of 640 acres in eastern Tennessee (sometime around 1790?). This old COX
farm was between Halls & Gibbs communities - on or near Sturmer Road...It
was still in the COX family (on the maternal side) until approximately 1988,
although whittled down to around 88 acres when finally sold. Anyone have any
information on either these people or the NC land grants in eastern Tennessee?

CONNELLY, JOHN - Knox County TN, 1744-1826 Does anyone have a list of children
of John CONNELLY, b. 1 Aug 1744, died 16 July 1826, married Aug 1773 to Jane
BALLEW, born 1755, died 30 Oct 1831. They had a son William born 1774, died 1820
who married Rebecca SHERRILL. Wm & Rebecca had Rebecca Mira Connelly who m/
Joshua GIBBS. Their children were John Gibbs & Emily C. Gibbs who married
John Jefferson MASON. John CONNELLY was a RW Soldier. All above information is
from Early Missourians and their Kin by Roy Burgess, volume 2. My question: Did
he also have daughters: 1. Aggie, born ca 1777 who married George MILLER. (They
had a son John C. Miller and John C.'s son William Wesley named a son John
Conley Miller). 2. Phoebe, born 1 Jan 1793, TN married Isaac LOVE in TN, she
died 18 Sep 1867 in Maries or Phelps County MO. No marriage has been found for
Phoebe & Isaac. (They had a son Harvey Connelly Love, and a locally written
history, E.M. King's "History of Maries County" calls her Phoebe
Conley. 3, Olivey/Olive born ca 1792, married 6 June 1809, Knox Co, to Robert
RHEA.. In W.S. Ray's "Tennessee Cousins" he says John Connalley, 11
July 1808, Jury, Knox County, TN. I think Aggie is of an age to be John's
daughter, but Phoebe and Olive are young enough to possibly be the daughters of
William and Rebecca, or the youngest children in John's family. I would
appreciate any help on this family. I just recently found the information on

Am searching for information on my ggrandparents, JOHN WESLEY FURGERSON
(FERGUSON, FURGUSON, FERGERSON, ETC.) AND MAHULDIA (BRUCE) FURGERSON. According
to my information, they were both born in Tennessee as were their parents. They
were there in 1840 when their first child, NANCY JANE FURGERSON, was born, and
left sometime after their 5th child, JOHN WESLEY FURGERSON, jr. was born in
1851. They were in Hopkins County, KY in 1854 when their 6th child was born. The
Tennessee Census of 1830 and 1840 lists Fergusons living in Knox County. I am
wondering whether our John Wesley might have relatives in Knox County. ANY
INFORMATION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
